Christingle Service this year is being held on Friday 6th December at 7pm. All donations are for the work of The Children’s Society. Children will be given collection box candles through school, God’s Squad or uniform groups. There will be envelopes at the back of Church for any adult who would like to donate to the work of the Children’s Society.
Fun Production Line Assembly! HELP is needed on Thursday 5th December from 7 pm to prepare the 150 oranges. Children and Adults welcome! Adults, please bring a paring knife and a pair of scissors for use on the production line! Many hands make light work. Thank you.
GIVING AT ST LEONARD'S
Giving expresses our love for God and responds to God’s generosity to us. It is part of our worship week by week. There is a digital giving device at the back of church for card/contactless giving. Please use on your way in or out of church. It is simple to use, and a quick cost-effective method for us to collect your offertory giving. The offertory plate will continue to be passed in church, but if you are able, please use the digital device instead. You may also give online at: www.middletonparishchurch.org.uk or set up a Standing Order through the Church Office.

PARENTS/GUARDIANS!
C of E Secondary Schools require ‘points’ to enable your child to attend that school. Regularly attending our God’s Squad helps to accumulate those points but to make sure sufficient weeks are covered there will be a registration sheet at the entrance of church every 1st, 3rd and 5th Sunday. Please ensure your child is booked in.
ARE YOU A DOCTOR, FIRST RESPONDER or TRAINED FIRST AIDER?
Our Church Health and Safety Policy is being updated and we need ideally 6 named people who can be approached for assistance should First Aid be required on Sundays! Once we have volunteers, we will establish what training needs may be required. This is an essential requirement of our Health and Safety Policy. Can you help? Please chat to one of our Wardens if you would like to volunteer in this crucial way or email the Church Office.
BRENTWOOD DAY CENTRE
Brentwood (Middleton Day Centre, 115 Long Street M24 6DL, 0161 655 4062).
Brentwood are desperately in need of canned goods - outlined below.
Brentwood does a lot more than offer food to those in need within our community, but it is an essential and much-needed part of all that they do. They are so grateful for everything we donate to them; please continue to help with: cereals; coffee; tins of corned beef and potatoes;carrots, peas, beans, tuna, tomatoes, soups - anything to make a basic meal. PLUS clothing (hats, scarves, jumpers, socks, gloves), blankets, quilts, bedding and toiletries. ALSO empty plastic bags to pack the above for people to take away.
